The Labor Information Binder is a helpful reference for
contractors who employ trade labor. It includes wage rates for the
general construction trades, contract summaries, trade directories and
much more. It is continually updated throughout the year.
Project Labor Agreements (PLA) can create market
opportunities for reputable, quality contractors and are a valuable tool
for the public entity. BCANJ tracks all PLA
initiatives, including
legislation passed in the summer of 2002 authorizing PLAs for the
construction of public buildings in New Jersey, as well as the New
Jersey Schools Development Authority's (NJSDA) PLA that is applied to
all projects directly managed by NJSCC over $5 million.

The Union Contractor
Advantage is a Video or CD-ROM, produced by BCANJ, on the caliber of union
construction. The nine-minute production, concentrating on the
management/labor partnership, emphasizes the union contractor's ability to
bring jobs in on time, within budget, and to an owner's satisfaction. Contact
the Association office for a copy of either forms of media.
